Job Opening - Technical Development Manager 

We have an opportunity for an experienced chemist/technical manager. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in chemistry (organic or organometallic preferred) and a minimum of 5 years experience. M.S. or B.S. candidates with suitable professional experience may also be considered. Breadth of professional experience should include organic, polymer (polyurethane, polyester, silicones) and coatings chemistry, but some inorganic and organometallic chemistry is a plus. Some knowledge of coatings, adhesive, sealants and elastomer applications along with testing expertise and catalysis is desirable. The successful candidate is expected to manage several concurrent projects and technical personnel with minimal supervision in a hands-on laboratory environment. Longer term R&D projects, shorter term technical service projects and market driven technical projects are included in the technical project portfolio. Effective interaction with a wide variety of departments within the company is essential. A competitive compensation/benefits package is offered to the qualifying candidate.

Polyurethanes 2010 

Reaxis will feature an extensive array of catalysts for polyurethane applications at the Polyurethanes 2010 conference on October 11-13, 2010 at the Houston Convention Center in Houston, Texas.  This technical conference and exhibition is a collaborative effort between The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) and UTECH North America.

We will exhibit our non-butyl organotin and non-tin catalyst products for polyurethane applications, a water soluble non-butyl tin catalyst, lower toxicity chemistries, delayed action systems, and a variety of newer systems for specialty chemical and other polymer applications.

We will also present a paper at the technical conference involving a new catalyst for improved waterbased polyurethane coatings.

American Coatings Show 2010 

Reaxis featured an extensive array of catalysts for specialty chemical, coatings, and polymer applications at the American Coatings Show 2010 which was held on April 13-15, 2010 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC.

We exhibited our non-butyl organotin and non-tin catalyst products, as well as a variety of newer product areas, including a water soluble non-butyl tin catalyst, lower toxicity chemistries, and delayed action systems.

Goldschmidt Industrial Chemical Corporation Announces Name Change to Reaxis Inc.

 

MCDONALD, PA - (March 10, 2008) – Goldschmidt Industrial Chemical Corporation, formerly a subsidiary of Degussa AG, now Evonik, recently announced a company name change to Reaxis Inc., effective March 10, 2008.  Several senior level managers acquired the industrial chemicals division of Evonik in a Management Buy Out (MBO).
